Cedric Mallants
My name is Cedric Mallants, global citizen, born in Belgium in 1981 before being raised in South Africa and then France. My life journey has also brought me through Taiwan before finally touching down in the Netherlands where I have decided to build my future and my home.
Chinese Martial Arts has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. At the age of 7, Grand-Master Su Jin Miao (蘇金淼, Taiwan) took me under his wing and I started the intense but powerful road of understanding my body and soul through the practicing of Kung Fu, Qi Gong and Tai Ji Quan. Throughout my teaching I started to gain interest in Chinese Medicine. This is when I understood that one is complementary to the other and that combined they have great healing powers.
In 2008, I undertook studying TCM in a private French school – “l’Institut de Médecine Traditionnelle Chinoise” (I.M.T.C). This school was the ideal choice as the program offered was approved and certified by the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and by the Scientific Committee of Pekin Central Hospital of TCM, both China State owned organizations.
Treatments
ACUPUNCTURE
Using very thin, sterile and single-use needles, acupuncture done on specific points throughout the body, will allow you to maintain a high level of energy, providing you an optimum vitality, great stress release and a sensation of well-being.
HERBAL THERAPY
Chinese medicine is a healing technique based on the principle of free and uninterrupted energy flow. It helps activate the natural healing processes in each patient’s body as well as restore their physical and emotional well-being. Restoring the proper balance in the body is the ultimate goal.
AURICULOTHERAPY
Auriculotherapy is a therapy that uses the auricle (visible part of the ear) to provide an influence on the homeostasis of the body. By using small needles or seeds on some specific area of the auricle, this therapy can help to support or increase the results between treatment sessions. It brings great added value to acupuncture and herbal therapy.
TUI NA – CUPPING – GUA SHA
Tui Na, Cupping, and Gua Sha are all complementary methods used within Traditional Chinese Medicine to help treat a condition, release local stagnation, and reduce pain.
Tui Na will use specific physical techniques to mobilize the body structures. Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine in which special cups are put on the skin for a few minutes to create suction. Gua Sha will stimulate the blood flow by scraping the surface of the skin with a massage tool.
